Hemel Cllrs help keep the Town Centre clean

Hemel Lib Dems want people to take pride in Hemel. Council Tax payers money is limited and can’t be spent cleaning rubbish up everywhere without cutting other essential services. So local Lib Dem Cllrs have taken it upon themselves to help keep the Town clean.

Cllr Victoria Santamaria of Hemel Hempstead Town Ward identified some of the areas around the town area that could do with a clean-up and arranged a litter pick which was attended by several Hemel Councillors.

Highfield Cllr & Parliamentary Candidate Sammy Barry-Mears commented that in general the town is clear of litter, but there are areas where it congregates. Adding that she is very proud to live in such a well-loved community. People were stopping to thank and comment that they too spend some time out with litter pickers keeping our town clean!

The group have identified areas across Hemel that they will spend some time litter picking at various points. If you see them, as part of a team or just out litter picking on their own, they're more than happy to have a chat with you!
