Lib Dem Parliamentary Candidate for Harpenden & Berkhamsted say let’s put an end to this terrible Conservative Government

With Rishi Sunnak announcing the General Election will be on 4th July, Victoria Collins says she’s ready to fight for change for local people.

The new Harpenden & Berkhamsted constituency will be a two horse race between the Lib Dems and Conservatives.

Victoria Collins says more and more people are turning to the Liberal Democrats to put an end to this terrible Conservative Government.

At the last General Election, the Liberal Democrats came a strong second in the old seat of Hitchin and Harpenden. Since then, support has been surging for the Liberal Democrats in local elections, with now around 80% of the councillors. Even Labour have declared this seat a non-target seat.

Victoria lives locally and is an entrepreneur who has run award-winning businesses. She also brings her experience from working on economic policy at the European Parliament and environmental and sustainability projects. Victoria grew up helping her mother on the shop floor of their gift shop, and was inspired by her father’s work in sustainable housing. Victoria aims to be the first Liberal Democrat MP of East and South East Asian origin.

Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for Harpenden & Berkhamsted, Victoria Collins said:

“In Harpenden & Berkhamsted, this election will be a two horse race between four more years of a tired and out of touch Conservative party, or a fresh start with a Liberal Democrat MP.”

“People in Harpenden, Berkhamsted, Tring and the surrounding villages need a new MP who will fight to protect our waterways, save our health services and support local businesses. Liberal Democrat MPs are delivering every day for local communities, and I want to follow in their footsteps.”

“I am proud to stand for Parliament for Harpenden & Berkhamsted and am determined to give this constituency a strong voice in Westminster. The people in this new constituency have been taken for granted for too long by Conservative MPs.”
